Asos defies the gloom

TIP UPDATE: Investors continue to love Asos
May 24, 2011

Shares in online retailer Asos have re-rated spectacularly since we recommended selling them in February. The company has continued to grow impressively, with international sales compensating for slowing sales in the UK; even so, UK sales grew by 24 per cent in the year to March. Sales outside the UK now account for more than half of group sales.

IC TIP: Sell at 2333p

Meanwhile, there has been some pressure on profit margins as the UK offering has been supported by an offer of free shipping and returns.
