Perhaps the recovery of some of the “Top Ten” portfolios suggested by our Alpha Investment Trust report screen can be read as a portent that the worst share price falls are behind much of the investment companies sector. They aren’t meant as oven-ready portfolios and, just as we shouldn’t berate ourselves when the mechanically generated lists stink the place out, we shouldn’t boast when they do well.
