UK lagging on energy transition supply chain, MPs warn

Parliamentary committee report calls for industry targets as the US, EU and others push ahead
December 15, 2023
  • Foreign Affairs Committee says the government is lagging on energy transition supply chain
  • UK 'late to recognise' China's capture of the battery industry

The report also said private companies involved in the electric vehicle (EV) industry needed “realistic targets and timeframes”, while for the country to hit net zero goals “immediate, decisive action” is needed.
