Margins open up at Atalaya

Stabilising costs, alongside better grades, recovery rates and prices are combining well for the copper miner
September 8, 2017

In the copper market, September has started where August, July and June left off. The price of the red metal is up once again, and now sells for $3.11 (£2.36) per pound. That explains the recent surge in Atalaya Mining’s (ATYM) share price, although profitability was a little thinner in the first half of 2017, when the Spanish miner’s $2.55 per pound average selling price was a mere 33¢ premium to all-in sustaining costs.
