Headline profits were held back at Brooks Macdonald (BRK) in the year to June, affected by a previously announced £5.5m provision for legacy issues at its former Spearpoint business, and other one-off items. However, underlying pre-tax profits were ahead by 6.1 per cent at £18m, as revenue breached the £100m level for the first time.
