Shares in SuperGroup (SGP) dipped after it emerged that chief executive Julian Dunkerton is to step down to make way for former Co-op boss Euan Sutherland.

Mr Sutherland resigned from the scandal-stricken Co-op Group in March after just one year at the helm, as his efforts to overhaul the business were thwarted by the group's appalling governance structure and reluctance to change. But he does come with a lot of retailing experience, not least in his role as chief operating officer for Kingfisher. Mr Dunkerton said the increasing complexity of SuperGroup meant it was the "right time" to bring in a boss of a higher calibre. Mr Sutherland is to take up the post immediately, as Mr Dunkerton focuses on branding and product design.
