Jewellery sales have slumped, but so has diamond production - limiting the fall in prices

Rough diamond prices have remained "quite resilient" despite the expected summer slowdown in demand, according to analysts at RBC Capital Markets, and the longer-term fundamentals of the sector are beginning to look positive despite weak short-term demand from the jewellery market.
