Pay-TV broadcaster British Sky Broadcasting has been forced to pay more for fewer Premier League football matches. The company was awarded 92 games a season for three years from the 2007-08 season for £1.3bn. Irish broadcaster Setanta was awarded 46 matches a season. The increased payment led to a round of downgrades to broker forecasts.
