Leslie-Ann Reed, a non-executive director of Aim-traded Learning Technologies Group (LTG), recently parted with £119,000 to bump up her holding in the digital education business by another 350,000 shares.
It's an obvious show of faith in a business that could be described as an industry consolidator. A buy-and-build strategy has underpinned top-line growth; a point brought home by the strong pro rata performance of Eukleia, a provider of e-learning to the financial services industry, subsequent to its acquisition mid-way through 2015. In recent months, LTG has also completed the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Rustici Software LLC and a 30 per cent stake in Watershed Systems Inc.
It's little wonder, therefore, that Ms Reed has bought into the group's long-term potential. LTG serves a disparate, yet expanding, segment of the support services market. Perhaps the best illustration of the group's potential came at the tail-end of 2015 when it, along with strategic partner KPMG, was successful in a formal tender process managed by Crown Commercial Service to provide learning and development services for the entire UK Civil Service.
