Burford Capital – which provides finance to corporates involved in solid litigation cases – reported impressive full-year figures. Pre-tax profit soared to $15.9m (£9.9m) from 2010's $1.85m and its case portfolio is performing well – one investment delivered a 30 per cent return. Such solid progress suggests its shares remain a buy.
