Pace has unseated US firm Motorola to take the crown as the world’s leading set-top box maker, according to a study by consumer electronics market researcher IMS.

It went on to add that Pace’s slew of Pay-TV deals would likely see the UK firm cement its No1 status this year. The shares have been anchored lately by European debt crisis fears yet that’s unfair given the accelerating unit shipments it has been pushing out the door in the run-up to the upcoming football world cup.
And we believe this has created a strong buying opportunity after easing back from 190p at our last recommendation just over a month ago () given the likelihood of improving operating margins to bolster profits.
