Bonds still the top sellers

IN BRIEF: Corporate bond funds are investors' top choice for the third month in a row
March 30, 2009

Investors continue to pour money into corporate bonds, according to the latest data from the Investment Management Association.

A total of £1.24bn was invested in corporate bond funds during February, the IMA said, more than twice the amount put into the next most popular category, which was UK all companies. The vast majority of the business (£1.13bn) was channelled through independent financial advisers.

This means that corporate bond funds have been the top sellers for the past three months, during which time a total of £3.6bn has been invested in them by the public.
