Growing concerns about cyber crime and hacking have driven growth at cyber security specialist NCC Group. Accordingly, group revenues for the first 10 months of the year advanced by 25 per cent to £72m.

The rise in awareness of hacking has propelled demand for the group's core Assurance Testing unit, which hacks into clients' computer systems to test cyber security resilience. Sales in the unit grew by 31 per cent in the period, with renewal rates remaining above 90 per cent. Meanwhile, the group's Escrow unit recorded 14 per cent growth in sales, with UK Escrow showing signs of a return to growth, with sales rising 7 per cent.
