In Simon Thompson’ column today, he highlights a ground breaking agreement signed by a small cap tech company that gives it exposure to the Japanese website of online giant Amazon; a cash rich insurance investment company offering significant hidden value; a lowly rated finance house that is set to start taking retail deposits in the coming months; and a modestly rated construction company specialising in purpose-built student accommodation. Simon also published a column on Monday in which he assessed the merits of another five companies.

Mr Bearbull’s column this week reflects on the recent ejection of Petrofac from his Bearbull Income fund and considers the case of four other constituents of the fund which have performed well and prompted him to reconsider their positions in the portfolio.

Online grocer Ocado is a classic marmite stock, investors either love it or hate it. This week it pleased bulls by announcing the first international partner for its grocery fulfilment technology but also gave bears further fuel for the fire by refusing to disclose who the partner was or what the financial terms of the deal were.
