Directors at Non-Standard Finance (NSF) seem to be taking advantage of the recent share price weakness. Chief executive of branch-based lender Everyday Loans Miles Cresswell-Turner, along with his wife and two daughters, purchased an aggregate £150,000-worth of shares, while non-executive director Niall Booker bought around £100,300.

The sub-prime lender reported consensus-beating first-half results, reporting net loan book growth of more than a third while reducing impairments as a proportion of revenue by 3 percentage points to 25.9 per cent. Adjusted pre-tax profits were 4 per cent ahead of the same period last year, with a sharp increase in administrative expenses. That was predominately due to costs associated with 11 new branch openings for Everyday Loans, the acquisition of guarantor lending business George Banco, as well as expanding the home credit division.
