It's unsurprising to see AB Dynamics (ABDP) bosses and their spouses cash in on an approximate 80 per cent gain in the group's share price over the past 12 months.

We said remarked at the time of full-year results how much momentum the shares had found as order volumes, sales and profits continued to boom. AB might be in a sweet spot in a cyclical industry right now, but it's also holding up against changing sector trends, specifically the transition to electric and hybrid motoring.
Chairman Tony Best sold close to £1.5m-worth of shares, albeit still leaving him with a 31 per cent stake in the company, while director Matthew Hubbard and his wife reduced their holdings to 0.6 per cent each. Finally, the wife of chief financial officer Robert Hart, Wendy Hart, sold out completely. A company spokesperson said the disposals had "no formal motivation" and were divested "for personal reasons".
