When Mattioli’s figures are released next Wednesday (2 September), the market has already been told to expect strong growth in adjusted pre-tax profit. But both global equity and bond prices – as measured by the MSCI World and Bloomberg Barclays Global Aggregate indices – have crept up post-period, suggesting the traditional ‘ad valorem’ model may have in fact outperformed.
