Oxford Metrics’ (OMG) Yotta business – which provides cloud-based infrastructure software – has won a two-year contract with Bury Metropolitan Borough Council, for use of its ‘Alloy’ product.

Alloy should help the council to look at, and fix, potholes and street lights “more efficiently”. Yotta expects everything to be up and running for the council by the end of the first half.
This is good news for Yotta, which saw “mixed fortunes” in 2018, after growth in its more mature UK division was tempered by slower-than-expected international expansion. By comparison, Oxford Metrics’ larger division, Vicon – which specialises in motion measurement analysis – enjoyed an “outstanding year” with record revenues and adjusted pre-tax profits.
