S&U motors on alone

Motor finance provider S&U (SUS) has all its eggs in one basket, following the sale of its home finance business to Non-Standard Finance (NSF). But management is not unduly concerned. "It is a very good basket and we think that it will be a more diversified basket as well," says chairman Anthony Coombs. As well as expanding its smaller business lending capacity, the company will use its disposal cash to fund acquisitions of speciality finance providers.
