Leaf bids farewell

Aim-traded clean energy investment company is exiting the stock market, giving investors another chance to cash in decent gains
November 25, 2019

Aim-traded clean energy investment company Leaf Clean Energy (LEAF:100p) has now returned £21.5m cash to shareholders through a compulsory redemption of 99.35 per cent of its issued share capital at 122.8p share.

It is unlikely there will be any further significant distributions by way of compulsory redemption, so the board will commence formal wind down proceedings and plans to delist the shares from Aim. It’s proved a cracking investment - the two compulsory redemptions this year have produced a 273 per cent capital return on my 38p entry point (‘Pointing to a successful outcome’, 19 Apr 2016) - and I would recommend selling the tiny portion of what’s left of your holdings in the market.
