Debenhams (DEB) has appointed Rachel Osborne as chief financial officer (CFO), replacing Matt Smith who will leave the company this month. Ms Osborne was most recently Domino’s Pizza Group’s (DOM) fourth CFO in as many years, after she took up the role in October 2016 and left in June.

One of the tough choices that awaits Ms Osborne will be the future of the Debenhams dividend. The struggling retailer has issued three profit warnings since the start of the year. Broker Peel Hunt is already forecasting that the company will cut the dividend this financial year, and eliminate it in 2019.
