Mondi (MNDI) is forecasting an increase in its statutory earnings per share range of between 21 and 25 per cent on last year, in the run-up to full-year results that will be published later this month.

The paper and packaging specialist expects earnings per share (EPS) to sit between 167 and 173 euro cents, up from 137.9¢ (120.6p) for its full year to 2017. Mondi projects an even greater rise in underlying EPS, with an increase of 25 per cent to 29 per cent forecast. It predicts that earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) will come in above last year’s level of €1.48bn.
