Shares in online fashion retailer Asos (ASC) rose 13 per cent as the group reported yet another period of double-digit sales growth. Retail sales in the final quarter grew 47 per cent to £208m, leaving full-year sales 40 per cent ahead of last year at £754m.

Quarterly growth was strong across the board with UK retail sales up 49 per cent, US sales up 59 per cent, Europe 73 per cent ahead and the rest of the world 26 per cent higher. The group has annualised last year's price investments too, which meant the final quarter saw a 460 basis point improvement in the retail gross margin.
