November 22, 2017

More positive news for redT energy (RED), as the energy storage technology company revealed that it had sold another nine storage units to a customer in southeast Asia, marking its initial foray, via partners, into the potentially lucrative energy storage market in the region.

The sale consists of four 30kW-150kWh energy storage machines in addition to a single 5kW-20kWh machine, which is equivalent to nine redT modular tank units with a combined capacity of over 0.6MWh.

The news came within days of confirmation that the largest operating containerised vanadium redox flow machine system in the UK had been connected to the grid by redT. The project at Olde House, a 600-acre working farm and holiday retreat in north Cornwall, represents the first to sign up to a local energy market being developed by Centrica.
